SimplyQuizzes started from a frustration I suspect a lot of quiz hosts share: spending more time hunting for decent questions than actually running the quiz. I built the first version in early 2024 to solve that problem for myself — type a topic, get a quiz, play immediately. No faff.
What started as a personal tool grew quickly once I shared it. Teachers were using it for classroom warm-ups. Pub quiz hosts were using it for warm-up rounds. Families were using it on Christmas Day when someone inevitably said "shall we do a quiz?" and nobody had prepared one. The use cases turned out to be far broader than I'd imagined.
